WHY WE’RE CELEBRATING
It started with friendship.— Bonnie Coffey, Founder of Pickleball Women
At the very first English Open Pickleball Tournament, I met some amazing women who welcomed me and quickly became friends. I wanted a way for us to stay connected, so I started a Facebook group with those women as its first members. I invited my fun pickleball friends and asked them to invite theirs too.The idea was simple: create a place just for women, where we could feel safe asking questions,
share what we were learning, celebrate our successes and encourage one another.From the beginning, Pickleball Women was international.
As women joined, they invited their pickleball friends, who invited their friends,
and the community continued to grow around the world.But it has never been about the numbers.That small group has grown into Pickleball Women, the largest private
women-only pickleball group on Facebook,
with more than 40,000 members from around the world.This festival is a celebration of the incredible community we’ve built together—
and a chance to bring some of those online friendships to life in person.

where access to pickleball equipment is limited.Even better—you can learn how to re-grip a donated paddle yourself at the Festival
before it begins its next chapter in the hands of someone
who might not otherwise have the opportunity to play.So start looking through those pickleball bags and closets now! If you have an old paddle that still has some good games left in it, bring it with you to Tucson. 💜

Is this a tournament?
No! This is a festival designed for fun, learning, connection, and lots of pickleball — not competition.What skill levels are welcome?
All skill levels are welcome.Can I attend just Friday night?
Yes. Friday Welcome Celebration tickets are available separately for $49.Is lodging included?
No, but we have arranged special festival rates at a wonderful Tucson hotel. See Where to Stay for details.What should I bring?
A friend! plus your paddle, court shoes, water bottle, sunscreen, and your Pickleball Women spirit!Can my spouse or partner attend?
Spouses and partners are welcome to join us for Friday night’s Welcome Celebration. Saturday’s festival is a special day just for women.Is the Festival indoor or outdoor?
The Festival is primarily outdoor. Friday’s Welcome Celebration at Corbett’s and Saturday’s Festival at Tucson Racquet & Fitness Club include outdoor activities, so please plan accordingly. If weather affects any Festival activities, we’ll adjust the schedule as conditions allow and communicate any changes to registered attendees.What is the cancellation/refund policy?
Full refunds are available through February 12, 2027, less any nonrefundable processing fees. After February 12, registrations are nonrefundable but may be transferred to another woman.If weather or other circumstances beyond our control affect the Festival, we will make every reasonable effort to modify the schedule or activities so the event can continue. If the Festival must be canceled entirely, any refund will be based on funds remaining after nonrefundable event expenses have been paid.
